Life's Hardest Lessons

Life's Hardest Lessons

  1. Money: It gives freedom and options, not happiness.
  2. Friends: Count quality, not quantity. Keep 3-4 supportive people, the rest as acquaintances.
  3. Lessons: You teach people how to treat you from the very first meeting. Don’t shy away from boundaries, even enforce them.
  4. Self Awareness: Without it, you may spend a lifetime blaming others for your misfortunes and problems.
  5. Control: Regardless of how terribly you think others are doing, there's only room to control yourself.
  6. Advice: Keep it to yourself unless it's asked for, then be judicious about it.
  7. Reciprocate: You don't want to be cheated on, don't cheat. You want respect, give respect. It’s clichĂ© but true – treat others as you want to be treated.
  8. Health: Your physical and mental health are your most valuable assets. Don’t neglect them.
  9. Time: It's the most precious resource. Use it wisely, because you never get it back.
  10. Forgiveness: Holding onto grudges only harms you. Learn to forgive, even if you don’t forget.
  11. Patience: Not everything happens when you want it to. Good things take time.
