They destroy the plants and they are extremely difficult to eliminate.
Yet, a professional garden decided to share 5 amazing tips which will help you solve this common issue and enjoy the beauty of your garden:
Vinegar
Vinegar is high in acetic acid, which is a potent natural herbicide, and it draws moisture out of the leaves, but do not spray it anywhere on the plant except there.
Boiling Hot Water
Pour a kettle or pot of boiling hot water onto the weeds, around the crown of the plant. This will destroy them for good.
Cornmeal
After your plants are grown, sprinkle some cornmeal to prevent weed seeds from germinating.
Remove By Hand
This is the most common method, and it is time-tested. Loosen the soil with a trowel, and then pull the weed out. Wear gardening gloves to prevent replacement of the seeds.
Salt
To dehydrate the weeds, sprinkle salt onto them. Yet, do not use too much of it, as it might hurt your plants if it disrupts the balance of the soil. You should mix some salt with water in a 3:1 salt, and sprinkle on the weeds only.
Mulch
To prevent weed seeds from germinating and growing, use mulch to prevents sunlight from reaching the soil. This will also prevent weed seeds from entering into the soil.
