General medicinal benefits
According to several studies, aloe helps lower cholesterol
levels and the appearance of tumors. It also regulates blood pressure,
prevents renal calculus, combats gastrointestinal and cardiovascular
diseases, and so on. All these benefits from the simple plant of aloe.
Improves digestion
If we want to maintain good health, it is essential that our
digestion functions perfectly. Aloe Vera is very good for this. It helps
decongesting the intestinal tract and eliminate toxins from it. This
plant can help us with problems from gastric reflux to chronic problems
of the digestive system.
Detoxifies the body
When eaten, aloe vera fights and eliminates toxins and toxic waste from the intestinal tract. In this way, it helps to detoxify and purify the body completely.
It has alkaline effects
Most diseases develop when the body has a higher degree of
acidity. However, aloe has the ability to regulate our pH and decrease
the body’s acidity. This, in turn, helps to strengthen the immune
system.
Strengthens the immune system
Aloe Vera has a high content of antioxidants. These help us
counteract the effects of free radicals, which often cause cancer and
other chronic diseases. Antioxidants also slow down the aging process.
Moreover, the plant promotes the production of white cells, which fight
viruses, bacteria, and more.
Antibiotics and antibacterial agents
Aloe Vera is rich in salicylic acid, Phenol and Sulfide. These fight bacteria and many other microorganisms that cause infections. That is why many doctors recommend consumption of aloe when you have a fever, flu or other infection.
It stimulates weight loss
We mentioned that aloe boosts digestion and detoxifies the
body. Both factors are crucial when it comes to losing weight.
Therefore, the better the intestinal transit, the faster we will lose
weight. In this way, it does not help us burn fat directly, but it helps
us flush out all the dead weight we have inside.
Warning
It is true that aloe has many natural medicinal properties. However,
this does not mean that it is totally safe. To make sure you are not
allergic to it, consult your doctor. Pregnant or lactating mothers,
people with kidney, liver or gallbladder problems, are advised not to
use it.
Aloe vera gel
This product is very good for dealing with a number of health
problems and can be prepared easily. We can use it for cuts, burns,
wrinkles, acne, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, insect bites, sprains,
arthritis, tired feet and legs, dry skin, after shaving, etc.
To prepare it, the first thing we will need is a leaf of aloe.
Preferably, we must choose the leaf closest to the ground and outside of
the center. This should be about 6 cm wide and 40 cm long.
Once we have the right leaf, we will cut and extract the gel or crystal
of aloe vera. If we want to use the product immediately, we simply cut
the leaf in half and rub the affected area.
To avoid any kind of irritation, make sure to eliminate the yellowish
sap completely. If you want to use it another time, peel the leaf, let
it dry in the sun and store it in a glass jar. Finally, store it in a
cool place without direct sunlight. In this way, you will not lose any
of its nutrients or properties.
Aloe vera juice
To prepare aloe Vera juice you need to take the leaf and prick it along, then remove the yellowish sap, add the fruit in a blender and add 1 liter of water. Pulse until everything is combined. Store it in the fridge and take it before each meal. This juice will help you with heartburn, digestive problems, ulcers, etc.
Aloe soap
Aloe soap is very good for disinfecting wounds, regenerating the
skin, moisturizing and softening it, treat eczema, acne, sores,
psoriasis, and much more. What’s even better, it’s super easy to prepare
it.
You need 250 grams of neutral glycerin soap without dyes. Then you’ll
need liquefied aloe Vera gel (10 grams). Put the glycerin soap into a
glass container filled with water until it melts. Add the aloe with a
wooden spoon and transfer the mixture into molds. Once it’s all set take
it out of the molds and use it whenever you need.
